ADMISSION TO EDUCATION FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS AND STATELESS PERSONS
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities is a higher educational institution of the IV accreditation level which invites foreign citizens and stateless persons to receive European-level education.

The university includes 9 faculties:

Education is carried out in the following areas: management, finance, accounting, primary education, preschool education, psychology, journalism, physical education, physical rehabilitation, occupational therapy, sports, history, secondary education (Ukrainian language and literature), secondary education (English language and literature), law, computer science, computer science, computer engineering, geography, tourism.

ABOUT EDUCATION
  • Levels of education for foreign citizens: Bachelor, Master
  • Language of instruction: Ukrainian
  • Forms of education: full-time, part-time, mixed.
  • Residence: comfortable dormitories (with registration of residence) at an affordable price with all amenities (near the university).

  • Support: support of foreign students from the beginning of studies to the end, preparation, translation and processing of documents, solving various issues is carried out by the International and Project Department.

  • Opportunities for international students and stateless persons: the opportunity to participate in all educational, scientific and educational events of the university, participation in international academic mobility programs, grant projects, international conferences, workshops, seminars and other events held at the university. Possibility to visit the sports complex and swimming pool.

  • Legal basis: admission to higher education institution of foreigners and stateless persons is carried out in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education,” “On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons,” “On Ukrainians Abroad,” “On Refugees and Persons in Need of Additional or of temporary protection,” by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 12, 2018 No. 729 “Issues of obtaining higher education by certain categories of persons,” by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated November 1, 2013 No. 1541 “Some issues of organization of recruitment and training (internship) of foreigners and stateless persons”.

ABOUT THE ADMISSION

Acceptance of documents: until November 30.

  • Foreign citizens and stateless persons are admitted only to accredited educational programs (details about accredited educational programs can be found in the admissions committee and the International and Project Department).
  • Enrollment conditions for foreigners: Ukrainian language at a level sufficient for learning the educational material, which is confirmed by the conclusion of the admissions committee.
  • Requirements for educational documents: foreigners must submit a legalized (Apostille or consular legalization) document about the education on the basis of which the admission takes place for remote admission (Visa is not required).
  • Educational level:
    Enrollment at the Bachelor's level is based on a complete general secondary education.
    Admission to the Master's level is based on the Bachelor's level.
Entrance exams:
1. Entrance exam in language (Ukrainian or English).
2. Professional exam in the chosen specialty.
 
Procedure and schedule of entrance exams for foreign students is determined and conducted by the admissions committee of the University or the International and Project Department in accordance with the period of enrollment of foreign citizens and stateless persons.

 

Other

  • Foreigners who come to Ukraine to participate in academic mobility programs or to obtain higher education according to educational programs agreed between Ukrainian and foreign institutions of higher education are admitted to study taking into account the relevant contractual obligations of the University.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Step 1. Consultation.

Step 2. Documents.

In the case of personal submission of documents - submit a package of documents for consideration by the admissions committee.

In case of remote submission of documents, send scanned documents to email: international@megu.edu.ua .

  3. Sign the consent to the processing of personal data (download here).
  4. A copy of the first page of a foreign passport or an identity document (with translation into Ukrainian and notarization)*.
  5. Education document on the basis of which admission will be made (certificate, diploma, academic certificate) (with translation into Ukrainian and notarization)*
  6. Appendix to the document about the world (contains a list of disciplines, received points and other additional information) (with translation into Ukrainian and notarization)*.

  8. Partnership agreement (in the case of remote submission of documents, the contract is concluded with the university and any other institution located in the foreign applicant's country, which will provide technical equipment and verify the applicant's personal data during remote enrollment) (download here).

*Documents in points 2-6 must be translated into Ukrainian with notarization in Ukraine.

**If you are unable to carry out the translation and notarization in Ukraine, you carry out these procedures in your country and send them for review. Next, a representative of the International and Project Department will carry out the translation and notarization in Ukraine on your behalf, when the original documents are available.

Step 3. Entrance exams.

After reviewing the package of documents, a representative of the International and Project Department will contact you for the purpose of organizing and conducting entrance exams and interviews.

Step 4. Invitation to study

  • In case of enrollment in studies, receive an invitation to study (regardless of the form of study).
  • The invitation to study is issued by the university on a special form issued and registered in the Ukrainian State Center for International Education. The student must pay for the services of the center. Details on the website:https://studyinukraine.gov.ua/uk/.
  • After registration and payment for services, you will receive an invitation to study from the University.

Step 5. Visa

In the case of full-time study, you need to inform the International and Project Department about the date and time of your arrival in Ukraine for study.

*If you are a citizen of a country with a visa regime, you need to apply for a type “D” study visa. To do this, you should contact the consulate of Ukraine in your country to apply for a visa.

** Candidates from visa-free countries with Ukraine must indicate the purpose of the trip – “studying” in the migration card when crossing the border.

Step 6. Temporary residence permit.

After arriving at the place of study, you need to issue a temporary residence permit and register your place of residence with the State Migration Service of Ukraine (in case of full-time study). You submit the necessary documents to the international project department, which prepares all the necessary documents.

Step 7. Recognition of foreign documents

A mandatory condition for the education of foreign citizens and stateless persons is the procedure of recognition (legalization) of their educational documents at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The procedure for the recognition of foreign educational documents can be carried out independently during the first semester of study or by contacting the International and Project Department of the University.

After enrolling in studies and carrying out all the necessary procedures, you will start studying at Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.
