Journalist education at the Academician Sepan Demianchuk IUEH
Modern journalism is a highly intellectual sphere, a romance of constant search and self esteem on the difficult, and sometimes dangerous, path to truth. Therefore, it needs people that are courageous and persistent, educated and committed to state ideals, responsive and indifferent. Quite a few of them came from the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities after studying at the Faculty of Journalism.
A separate structural unit at Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH was established in 2005 - FACULTY OF JOURNALISM
Mitchuk Olha Andriivna, Doctor of Science in Social Communications, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Social Communications, member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, member of the Scientific and Methodological Commission on Journalism at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, heads the Faculty of Journalism.
There are two departments working in the faculty. The Department of Theories and Techniques of Journalistic Creativity and the Department of Social Communications.
The highly qualified faculty members teach students the latest technologies, prepare them for work in the modern media. The level of knowledge and practical skills of the best students of the faculty always receive a commendable assessment.
At the Faculty of Journalism at Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH it is possible to get European education without External Independent Testing (EIT)!
Even if the applicant has not passed the EIT, but wants to be a journalist, the faculty will give him the opportunity to become one. Here they study under the European program of the Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences (Székesfehérvár, Hungary). The graduates will receive a diploma in “Communication and Media Education”. The journalist students are also able to intern in Hungary.

During the years of its existence, more than 400 specialists graduated from the faculty are working in Ukraine and abroad. Among them, who have received various awards, become Honoured Journalists of Ukraine, Honoured Workers of Culture of Ukraine, Editors of Distinguished Publications, Managers of Broadcasting Companies, Directors of Publishers.
The Faculty prepares specialists for the media, news agencies, press-services of institutions and organizations and advertising agencies. Specialists are trained on a full-time and part-time basis. The training is as adapted as possible to the needs of modern Ukrainian media and students, starting from the third year, refine their skills in the following areas:
- Working in the Press and News Agencies;
- Journalistic Work on Television;
- Radio Journalism;
- Photojournalism;
- Advertising and Public Relations
- Internet Journalism;
- Work in Press Services;
- Employees of the Latest Media;
- Copy-Writing;
- Speak-Writing;
- Account Management.

A student news agency has been fruitfully working at the faculty for the purpose of teaching and for holding university press conferences. Where students acquire practical skills in journalistic skills from the first days of study.
The Faculty publishes the educational newspaper "Somyi Poverkh (Seventh Floor)", where future journalists put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classrooms. They also offer educational television and radio studios.
