History of the Department

The Department of Criminal Law and Administrative Law Disciplines was established in 2007. The head of the department is PhD, Professor Demianchuk Vitalii Anatoliiovych. There are 14 teachers at the department: 7 on a full-time basis and 7 on a part-time basis. Seven teachers have scientific degrees and academic titles including: 1 Doctor of Science, Professor; 2 PhD in Law, Professors; 3 PhD in Law, Associate Professors; 1 PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor. Leading specialists of law enforcement agencies of Rivne and Rivne region are also involved in teaching the disciplines.

Within the framework of the current scientific topics of the faculty ("The problem of the constitutional order of Ukraine in the conditions of civil society and state law") and the department ("Basic principles of justice of Ukraine and their evolution in the context of the law system of coordinates of the modern European socio-cultural space") a scientific work is carried out by the department, namely:  defended

  • PhD Thesis on the topic: "Protocols and other information criers as sources of evidence in criminal proceedings" by Demianchuk V.A. (2009);
  • PhD Thesis on the topic: "Administrative responsibility for violation of the procedure of conducting business activities", by Furmanchuk Ye.V. (2011);

- published 15 textbooks and manuals, 4 monographs;

In 2012, the monograph "Information fixation in criminal proceedings in court" was published by PhD, Associated Professor Demianchuk V.A., together with his co-authors, published a textbook on ecology with the stamp of MESYSU (Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine).

- every year lecturers of the department publish about 40 scientific articles, 25-30 of them in professional journals;

- scientists of the department participate annually in numerous international, national and regional scientific conferences;

  • Mykults V.Iu. defended his dissertation research on the topic: "Information and law bases in the field of road safety in Ukraine", the head is PhD, Professor Tsymbaliuk V. I. Students' scientific work is guided (PhD, Associated Professor Demianchuk V.A.)
