History of the Department

The Department of Management was established at the Faculty of Economics in 1997. It started its history with the training of specialists on educational and qualification levels "bachelor" and "specialist" in the specialty "Organisation Management".

The department provides high-quality training for bachelor's and master's degree students in the specialty 073 "Management" in accordance with the standards of higher education. The purpose of the Department of Management is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of management with innovative knowledge and professional skills.

The first head of the department - Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine ZIN Eduard Anatoliiovych organied the formation the department as a structural unit of the Faculty of Economics. The Department of Management was later headed by:

- PhD, Associate Professor TROFIMCHUK Oleksandr Romanovych (from March 6, 2000 to August 19, 2001);

- PhD, Associate Professor KOROBOVYCH Liudmyla Petrivna (from August 20, 2001 to August 18, 2002);

- PhD, Associate Professor TKACHUK Mykola Petrovych (from 19.08.2002 to 31.08.2010 and from 20.04.2017 to 02.09.2018);

- PhD, Associate Professor KOZAKEVYCH Antonina Stanislavivna (from 01.09.2010 to 03.09.2015);

- PhD, TROFIMCHUK Mykhailo Oleksandrovych (from 04.09.2015 to 17.02.2016);

- PhD, DEMYDIUK Serhii Maksymovych (from February 18, 2016 to September 5, 2016);

- PhD, Professor KHMIL Fedir Ivanovych (from 06.09.2016 to 19.04.2017);

- PhD, Professor HONCHAROV Yurii Viktorovych (from 02.09.2018 until now).

Today the Department of Management is headed by Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine HONCHAROV Yurii Viktorovych.

Since the establishment of the department, a lot of work has been done on its formation, involvement of staff, development of the legal framework of the department and specialty, improvement of educational programs. Through the efforts of the administration and the management of the faculty, a creative team of teachers was formed at the department.

During the existence of the department the following scientific and pedagogical workers received scientific degrees: Nykonchuk Viktoriia Mykolaivna (2010 r.); Demydiuk Serhii Maksymovych (2012 r.); Trofimchuk Mykhailo Oleksandrovych (2016 r.) ; Hlushkova Tetiana Serhiivna (2016 r.); Romanov Artur Dmytrovych (2018 r.).

The educational process is provided by a highly qualified team of research and lecturing staff, of which more than 90% have degrees (2 Doctors of Sciences, 9 PhD) and academic titles (Head of the Department has the title of Professor and 5 Associate Professor). The department actively involves specialists-practitioners in the educational process, who give lectures, conduct practical classes, including on the basis of enterprises, organizations and institutions, provide scientific advice on course and qualification works.
