Faculty training laboratories

Student TV and radio laboratories of the Faculty of Journalism of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities are a "forge of personnel" for the Ukrainian media. And this is without exaggeration. After all, many well-known TV and radio journalists in Ukraine and abroad started their careers from it. Among them: own correspondents of all-Ukrainian TV channels, radio and TV presenters, media specialists and bloggers, heads of TV channels and radio stations.

In the conditions of TV and radio laboratories, our students acquire the skills and abilities that they will need both during the internship at the broadcaster, and, in fact, during employment.

Curricula in such disciplines as "Television Production", "Radio Production", "Live Television Broadcasting" are prepared and organised by the lecturers of the department, together with practicing journalists.

Such a creative tandem allows the student to join the close combination of the obtained theoretical knowledge with their real application almost from the first days of classes.

In practical and laboratory classes, students have the opportunity to master the skills of selection and preparation of topics for self-developed news releases, screenwriting (for reports, programs, films), narration, video recording and television editing.

For the first professional experience of our students at the faculty there is a Student Information Agency, whose guests are constantly famous and successful personalities of Ukraine and European countries. The latter are among the first to be able to assess the level of training of our students.

Particular attention in the laboratory is paid to the art of television interviews, the stages of preparation of news releases and live broadcasts from the scene. Here, future pen and microphone sharks have the opportunity to practice in the preparation of television and radio programs of various genres and their own author's projects.

Thanks to the signed memorandum between the Faculty of Journalism of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH and the editorial offices of all-Ukrainian TV and radio companies, our students have the opportunity to put them into practice after gaining knowledge and skills in the laboratory.

To get an idea of ​​the potential specialist and his level of skill, our partners have the opportunity to get acquainted with student work by visiting the YouTube channel of the laboratory called "Acadenician Stepan Dmianchuk IUEH Television Service". It presents all the initiatives of young TV and radio masters. Often, based on the watched stories, programs, TV channels and radio stations invite our graduates to work in their editorial offices, providing them with their first job. As a result - 70% of TV and radio journalists in Rivne region are graduates of the Faculty of Journalism of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH! And this is a common result that faculty members and our stakeholders have worked and are working on.

Particular attention in the laboratory is paid to the multimedia of modern electronic media, as the requirement of time is the close and absolutely justified linking of modern television and radio content to social networks, Internet resources. Therefore, each successfully prepared work of the student is placed on the pages of social networks of the University and the faculty, where they receive an additional incentive from subscribers in the form of "likes" or "dislikes".

Close cooperation with European universities, within the framework of the Destin project implemented at the faculty, gives an opportunity to keep an eye on the pulse in the training of future specialists, embodying and exchanging best practices with partner universities at the faculty and in the laboratory.

Therefore, it is not necessary to go to Europe or Kyiv to get the necessary knowledge of television and radio. Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH Faculty of Journalism has many years of experience and an impeccable reputation, strengthened by a large army of our media graduates. Join us!
