The study visit "Best Practices of Public Activity of Youth for the Development of Eastern Ukraine" began at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities at the Faculty of Journalism. Throughout the week, members of the delegation from Stanytsia Luhansk attended classes at the practical laboratories of the Faculty of Journalism and get acquainted with the work of Rivne media.
Today, high school students from Stanytsia Luhansk together with curators met with the Rector of the AcAcademician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH, Doctor of Science, Professor Vitalii Demianchuk. The guests shared their impressions of our city and expressed their expectations about the visit. The Rector stressed the full support of the delegation and the possibility of adjusting the program of stay according to the wishes of high school students. Visitors were especially interested in admission issues and available specialties that can be studied at Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH. There were also presents - the guests brought with them a special lantern with storks that are symbolizing peace. The Rector gratefully accepted the gift and handed it over to the University Museum of Peace.
The next point of acquaintance with the university was a visit to the above-mentioned Museum of Peace, which was founded by Stepan Yakymovych Demianchuk. The promotion of the idea of peace in all its manifestations was strongly echoed by guests from the east of our country. The Head of the Department of Students' Education Coordination with Distance Form Elements, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of History Andrii Levder conducted a tour of the museum. He told about the unique exhibits and allowed some especially interested students to pick up and try on some of them. At the end of the visit, the guests left feedback in a thick guest book and expressed their admiration for the very presence of the Museum of Peace.
Особливо насиченим та пізнавальним став начальний блок із лекціями та майстер-класами, які провів кандидат наук із соціальних комунікацій, доцент кафедри соціальних комунікацій Андрій Смусь. Andrii Hryhorovych spoke about the peculiarities of radio broadcasting in the era of globalization, which is especially relevant for guests, as the opening and launch of the online radio station Stanytsia Luhansk is in the near future. After a short break in the classroom, it was already a question of directly forming a news release, gathering information, reading, editing the issue with an emphasis on the features of online radio broadcasting.
The active day ended with a visit to the Zavadskyi Sports and Wellness Complex. A brief introduction to the largest pool and the opportunity to experience the powerful long trails were highly appreciated by all guests.
