In the framework of cooperation with the Bath Spa University, IUEH scientists joined the lunch seminar on “Generative AI in initial teacher education”. The speaker of the seminar was a researcher from the School of Education Ashley Ogborn. The seminar was joined by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Oksana Marchuk and Head of the International and Project Department Alina Kruhliak.
The event brought together representatives of the academic community of pedagogical specialties to discuss the impact of the latest technologies on the educational process. Participants shared their experience of using generative AI, discussed ethical aspects, potential in developing educational materials, and challenges related to adapting to rapid technological changes.
Special attention was paid to how students and teachers react to the introduction of AI. Most participants noted that they were apprehensive at first, but that over time, the adaptation has been quite successful thanks to the integration of AI into learning platforms and support from the community.
This seminar was another step towards expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and British higher education institutions in the field of educational technology.
