A joint event of the Faculty of History and Philology and the Regional Universal Scientific Library took place on September 9, 2021 in the "Chamber" of the RRUSL. Leading librarian of the reading room Natalia Vasiuk, who is also the Head of the club "Interlocutor", was the host of the event.
Liliia Ovdiichuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH and co-chair of the same literary and art club, represented Ivan Franko in the context of the day through letters and memoirs, emphasizing the phenomenal diligence, passion and universality of Ukrainian genius. The poetry of the classic was recited by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksii Zavorotnii, the famous bandura player Nazar Voloshchuk performed a song based on Franko's words "It's not time, it's not time, it's not time…", which became the anthem of Ukrainian patriots.
Educators spoke with interesting stories about little-known pages in the life of the thinker, read poems by fans of Frank's poetry. N. Vasiuk presented (exclusively) Stepan Protsiuk's essay on Ivan Franko "Gulliver in the Land of the Lilliputians". Students and lecturers of the Faculty of History and Philology were active participants-spectators of this holiday-awards of the outstanding son of Ukraine. After the action, the freshmen were given a tour of the library.
