Rita

At the end of March 2025, the first phase of the grant project “Ukrainian centers of therapeutic activities for sports and recreation vol 2.0'” was launched. It is implemented by the AZS WSG Society with the assistance of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation within the framework of the RITA program “Changes in the Region”, implemented by the Education for Democracy Foundation.

Rita

The RITA project is aimed at providing occupational therapy using adaptive games for people with health problems, internally displaced persons, the military, and children of different ages for physical rehabilitation, social and psychological adaptation. The program is being implemented on the basis of the Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Center, coordinated by Ihor Petruk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Health and Physical Therapy, Faculty of Health, Physical Culture and Sports, IUEH.

Rita

The first part of the project has already begun with visits of teachers and students of Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities to the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, where participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, gain practical skills, learn new rehabilitation techniques, expand their scientific horizons and participate in training programs.

IUEH, the project was traditionally joined by partners from Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University and Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture.
