On June 23, 2023, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems and Prospects for the Development of Regions" was held, organized by the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Geography, History and Tourism of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.
The conference was attended by scholars and students of higher education institutions of Ukraine, in particular from Rivne, Lutsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, as well as international partners of IUEH: Bath Spa University (UK), Wielkopolska Academy of Social and Economic Sciences in Szrodzie Wielkopolska - Academy of Applied Sciences and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland). Nataliia Medynska, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Academician Demianchuk IUEH, Doctor of Philology, Professor, welcomed the participants of the conference, noting the importance of the conference topic, which is aimed at addressing the issues of reconstruction and development prospects of the country.
The conference featured presentations on topical issues of regional development. The constitutional and political conditions of economic processes during the war were revealed, the economic processes of Ukraine today were assessed, important socio-geographical and geo-ecological problems were considered, and a significant place was given to the development of the tourism industry at the regional level.
The conference outlined ways to improve the effectiveness of state regional policy in the postwar period, the conditions for consolidating the regional economic space and deepening international cooperation.
