On September 17, 2021, the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of the Economic and Humanities celebrated The Remembrance Day of the first Dean of the Faculty Zavatskyi Viktor Ivanovych, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founder of the faculty. Zavatskyi Viktor Ivanovych (Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Correspondent of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences of National Progress) was known and loved by many people in Ukraine and abroad.
He was always smiling and friendly, hospitable and sincere, frank and persistent. In 1998, Zavatskyi Viktor was invited to Rivne University of Economics and Humanities, to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports. Since 2000 he has been working as the Vice-Rector for Research Work at the "REGI" named after Academician Stepan Demyanchuk. He has published more than 200 scientific and methodical works, including 9 monographs and textbooks. The Scholars made a lot of efforts for the formation and development of the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports.
The main direction of his scientific activity was to restore and strengthen the health of people of all ages by means of physical education and sports. Traditionally, on this day, all students of the faculty are shown a film dedicated to the memory of our FIRST DEAN.
