On May 1, 2023, a binary practical lesson on the structure of firearms was held for 3rd year students of the Faculty of Law within the discipline "Criminalistics" at the Arsenal firearms store.
Students of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, who are studying at Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities for a week as part of the academic exchange program, joined the training session. During the binary practical lesson, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the University, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Academician Andrii Borovyk, together with experts from the Arsenal firearms store Volodymyr Koshyn and Dmytro Shymchuk, explained in detail and showed the students the structure of small arms - pistols, assault rifles and automatic rifles used by law enforcement officers and the military.
Special attention was paid to the need to comply with safety rules when using weapons.
A separate part of the class was devoted to the history of the creation of certain types of firearms.
Each student was able to independently disassemble individual models of firearms, which were described, and, in compliance with safety rules, attempt to use them in practice.
