The final competition as part of the RITA project “Changes in the Region” was held in IUEH.
During the final competition, teams from Kornyn Lyceum, Kolodenka Lyceum, Rivne Lyceum #11, and the team of the Harmonious Development Studio “Zerno” competed for the title of the best.
The teams had the opportunity to compete for team leadership, as well as for individual prizes in such adaptation games: Giaccolo, Culbuto, Boccia, Cornhole, Paca-Laca, Elastic.
Ihor Petruk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Health and Physical Therapy, was the senior judge and project coordinator.
All the winners were awarded cups, medals and prizes donated by the Polish partners. The emotions were only positive. The implementation of the project has shown its necessity and usefulness in Rivne region, as evidenced by the growing number of visitors and the receipt of numerous offers of cooperation.
The final competition was also attended by representatives of the Rivne regional authorities. In particular, the first Deputy Head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration Serhii Podolin, the Head of Youth and Sports Affairs of the Rivne City Council Oleksandr Hrebeniuk, the Director of the Rivne Inclusive Resource Center of the Rivne City Council Ruslana Maistruk, and the head of the NGO “Tomasz Padura Ukrainian-Polish Union” Eva Mankowska delivered welcoming remarks. In conclusion, Vitalii Demianchuk, Rector of Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities, delivered a welcoming speech.
t is worth noting that 111 participants aged 5 to 62 were registered during the period of the center's implementation. Internally displaced persons and children with special needs were among them. We also managed to organize several offsite tournaments in various educational institutions in Rivne region.
In October 2023, the Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Center was opened at Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities with the assistance of AZS WSG and the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz (Poland). Adaptation games contribute to social adaptation, psychophysical development, improvement of cognitive functions, fine motor skills, proprioception and balance.
