This holiday was launched by the UNESCO General Conference on the initiative of the International Federation of Student Sports (FISU).This day is designed to attract attention and increase the significance of sports in educational institutions and attract supporters of a healthy lifestyle, promote its popularization and development.
The Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of the Economic and Humanities traditionally supports the initiative of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Sports Student Union of Ukraine and celebrates the International Day of Student Sports.
Students of the first year of all specialties of the Faculty were involved in the celebration of the International Day of Student Sports in the Taras Shevchenko Recreation Park (Rivne), which was organized by the department (branch) of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science together with the branch of the National Olympic Committee in the Rivne region.
As part of the celebration, there was a general warm-up with a champion, athletics race and various motor activities. All participants received certificates of participation in the race, and the winners and participants of motor activities received various incentive gifts.
