Oleksandr Nazarenko, gold medallist of the Paralympic Games in judo in the weight category up to 90 kg, class J2, visited IUEH. The meeting was held in the format of a press conference, where students and teachers had the opportunity to ask the athlete questions.
During the event, the audience learned that the judoka had already lost to his final opponent several times before this fight, but this time he still won: “I was the weakest of them all, but I still won,” says Oleksandr Nazarenko.
The winner also shared that he has his own judo school, where he and his wife train the younger generation of athletes.
Nazarenko noted that he has no plans to go to the next Games. Instead, he will train young judokas with the hope that they will also win a gold medal at the Olympic or Paralympic Games in the future.
