During a working visit to the UK, the delegation of Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities handed over a copy of the Ostroh Bible to the library of the Bath Spa University. This valuable gift was highly appreciated by the British colleagues, who sent an official letter of gratitude, noting the importance and symbolic significance of this edition.
The Ostroh Bible, which is the first complete translation of the Holy Scriptures into the Church Slavonic language, represents the richness of Ukrainian cultural heritage and is of great importance for the development of spiritual and scientific research. According to the British partners, this gift not only complements their funds but also strengthens cultural and academic ties between our universities.
The transfer of the Ostroh Bible has become a symbol of close cooperation between IUEH and the Bath Spa University. We are pleased that this historical book will find its place of honour in the specialised collections of our partners' libraries and will contribute to a deeper understanding of Ukrainian history and culture among British students and scholars.
IUEHM is sincerely grateful to the Bath Spa University for the warm words of gratitude and support of our partnership.
